WEEK 2 - Search It Right!

This week we combined with other groups for a talk session at The Cubes. Well its means there were more kids therefore they were very excited having a chance to sit with their friends so it was a bit chaotic. Fortunately my friend, Fatin who as the speaker on that day together with other foster sisters managed to handle the situation very well. There were 3 absentees in my group and I was relieved that Aliya could make it to the class even though that evening it was raining cats and dogs☔☔☔.

This week we taught them on some searching techniques on Google. In my opinion, these techniques are crucial and make our life easier. First we showed them some videos on how to use some of Google features. My group members, Ali and Amira then re-explained to give them a better understanding. I should praise Aliya on how she give her attention in class and her effort to write some notes so that she won't forget the knowledge she gets. Aww she's so hardworking!💘

At 7.15 we released them for Maghrib prayer and dinner. Then the session continued in groups. During this session, we let the kids to apply the knowledge they learned earlier. They are free to explore anything under our guidance and of course this is what they were waiting for as I could see how they enjoyed. I forgot to bring my laptop but fortunately my friend, Ifa, lend hers to Aliya. I thanked Ifa a lot for that!😌 Aliya was impressed with herself when she applied the searching techniques. Her interests is on slime so we searched many things about slime on Google. Well not just that, she was also excited when using the Google Translate. Now she can learn other languages easier and clearer.

So far, this project taught me to spread knowledge even if it is a small one because it might be useful for others and how beautiful the world could be if everyone does that. I hope the knowledge we shared to the children are useful to them.

I'm guiding Aliya on how to search correctly on Google

Aliya can use Google Translator successfully!
